Annie Lake
As part of a Teacher Training Course, Annie specialised in the study of Arts and Crafts.
During her long career, she held a post of special responsibility for Art in a number of Primary Schools. This entailed attending many lectures and courses at the local University or College. She then held Staff Training sessions and practical demonstrations to promote good practice in the teaching of Art.
Annie and her husband Robert live in Aberdyfi in a house on the hill behind the bandstand. She works from a little studio which has commanding views of the Dyfi Estuary that often feature in her paintings.
Annie enjoys experimenting with a wide variety of media, particularly in the making of texture pictures, even to the extent of using seaweed, sand and shells to achieve the desired effect!
