Margaret Berry sculpts in clay using a stoneware body mixed with sand to create large sculptures. Every piece is unique, as she doesn't cast and glaze colour is brushed into place.

Sculptures are fired to 1200°c taking 36 hours to reach temperature and cool. A 30cm hare sitting with ears raked behind its head or stretched down its back takes more than a man-day to sculpt and glaze.

Margaret's pieces are available but sell very quickly. Her main focus for this year is the Chinese year of the rabbit but she also sculpts birds and other creatures. She specialises in suspended sculptures abstract and lifelike.
